Industry Training | Extensive Modification to the CETP Training Program
Eric Kuster, VP Safety, Education & Compliance, Propane Education & Research Council (PERC)
Change is something most of us don’t enjoy. We get comfortable in the way we do things, and although good habits improve safety, change is needed to improve safety and training over time. Workforce development continues to be a challenge for our industry with education being a critical component. We need to adapt to the changing needs of the incoming workforce and leverage technologies that deliver education in different ways.
Learn how PERC is revamping the current industry training program to be more concise and efficient while improving its effectiveness.
Take this opportunity to become familiar with the upcoming reorganization of the training materials into smaller, manageable courses to allow learning to build in stages, starting with a solid foundation, progressing through needed core skills, and continuing the progression as tasks and responsibilities may evolve.
Understand and learn how to use the (new) Learning Center, which gives options for delivering and maintaining training records while ensuring compliance.

Grassroots Advocacy? Why Should I Care? What Can I Do?
Eric Sears, State Association Relations Manager, National Propane Gas Association (NPGA)
Your business depends on it! Grassroots advocacy increases our industry’s profile with policymakers and YOU have a great story to tell! Now more than ever, state lawmakers need to hear that story directly from PAPGA members. We learn the most about people when we visit their homes, so we want to invite lawmakers to visit our house. Hear how hosting a low-cost, low-pressure site visit at your facility will deliver results and encourage Pennsylvania Legislators to take a direct interest in issues facing our industry.
