PAPGA QR Codes Will Provide Penn State Sports Fans with History and Safety Trivia
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Propane Gas Association is a proud sponsor of Penn State Sports. During the 2011/12 basketball season, fans who attend Men’s and Women’s games at Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, PA will have access to fun and informative trivia content via QR Code.
QR (Quick Response) Codes are relatively new in the United States. This technology allows mobile phone users to scan codes and be directed to multi-media content instantly.
The PAPGA full-page display in the Official Game Program will contain a QR Code linking mobile device users to the first edition of Penn State and Propane Trivia. The trivia questions will be updated every two weeks during the basketball season.
“We are pleased to provide entertaining trivia questions for Penn State fans to explore and enjoy,” said PAPGA Executive Director Shelby Metzger. “After answering the questions, we will invite them to learn more about safety and innovative new products in the propane industry.”
Penn State begins the basketball season on November 5th, 2011 hosting exhibition games against Bloomsburg (Women’s) and Slippery Rock (Men’s).
The Pennsylvania Propane Gas Association is a member-focused trade association providing services that communicate, educate and promote the propane industry in Pennsylvania.
