INTRA-STATE MARKETER
Any person, firm and/or corporation operating in the state of Pennsylvania whose business is the sale of propane gas.
- Sales are made directly to the ultimate consumers and/or indirectly through established dealers to ultimate consumers.
- Membership in this category requires payment of National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) dues to Pennsylvania Propane Gas Association.
MULTI-STATE MARKETER
Any person, firm and/or corporation operating in the state of Pennsylvania whose business is the sale of propane gas.
- Sales are made directly to the ultimate consumers and/or indirectly through established marketers to ultimate consumers.
- The marketer has at least 15 retail outlets, with at least seven (7) of those outlets located in a state other than the state where the headquarters office is located.
- To qualify for membership in the Pennsylvania Propane Gas Association, a Multi-State Markete rmust be a member of the National Propane Gas Association.
A company that falls under the definitions for Multi-State Marketer must join the Pennsylvania Propane Gas Association through the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA). Contact NPGA (202-466-7200) for additional information and instructions.
ASSOCIATE
Any person, firm and/or corporation not otherwise qualified for membership and interested in membership with the Pennsylvania Propane Gas Association, such as:
- wholesale distributors of propane gas appliances and equipment manufacturers whose principal place of business is located in Pennsylvania;
- wholesale distributors, manufacturer's agents and/or manufacturers defined as local, regional or national in scope;
- producers, transporters, manufacturers, fabricators and other supplier companies paying dues directly to NPGA.
INDIVIDUAL
Any person employed by or retired from an active member.
REFILL/EXCHANGE STATION
Non-marketers whose only contact with propane is refilling propane gas cylinders.
